Rochester, NY -- Governor Cuomo says 12 businesses will expand or locate in New York state -- including one in our area -- as a result of his START-UP NY program.
The 12 businesses are opening in tax-free areas sponsored by RIT, the University at Buffalo, Cornell and SUNY's Downstate Medical Center. They are projected to create nearly 400 jobs.
At RIT, Datto, Inc. is creating 77 jobs. The Connecticut company is a provider of hardware-based backup, allowing businesses to mitigate downtime in the event of a disaster or technical failure.
