East Rochester, NY -- Republican Rob Astorino has brought his campaign for governor to East Rochester.
The Westchester County Executive told gun rights supporters Friday that if he's elected he'll seek the repeal of the SAFE Act, the tough gun law adopted last year. He said he would replace it with something "much more effective" that he said wouldn't demonize gun owners.
And he said that that living in New York has become, for some, like a prison sentence. He observed that people often speak about their plans to move away. He says businesses are fleeing, people are chasing those jobs out of state and, in his words, "We can do better."
