One man is dead and six others were injured when a driver ran through a stop sign in Ontario County and was struck by another car. Deputies said the driver was high on drugs.
The Ontario County Sheriff's Department said Andrew Clark of Baldwinsville was driving his Pontiac on Route 20 with three of his friends in the car, when he failed to stop at the intersection with Route 4. A Toyota driven by a Honeoye Falls woman crashed into it.
Clark's vehicle was rolled over and landed upside down off the highway. Rear seat passenger Leonard Fabian of Baldwinsville was thrown out of the car and died at the scene. Passengers Travis Woodward and Kevin Gabriel of Baldwinsville were flown by helicopters to Strong Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. Clark was taken to Strong wth an arm injury.
Phyllis and Ronald Fritz of Honeoye Falls suffered relatively minor injuries but were taken to Strong for treatment.
Clark has been charged with Driving With Ability Impaired by drugs. The investigation is continuing and additional charges may be coming.
