Rochester, NY -- A federal judge has granted temporary relief to the troubled Blossom South Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Attorneys for Blossom South say the order effectively allows the facility to continue an ongoing turnaround plan. Earlier this week Blossom South sued to prevent the federal government from removing funding and to stop the state from closing it.
The judge ruled that pending further proceedings in October, the defendants can't terminate the facility’s Medicaid provider agreement.
Blossom South operator Israel Segal says in a statement he is happy he can continued the turnaround.
