Crews work through night to restore power

RG&E reports just over 2-thousand customers still waiting to have service restored as of 7 a.m. Saturday after yesterday's windstorm took down trees and power lines.

Crews and supplies were pre-staged and ready to go as the storm approached, but 27,000 customers lost service in Monroe, Wayne and Ontario Counties, which put quite a burden on them.

Crews worked through the night and they're still finishing up.

Monroe County and towns along the Lake Ontario shoreline were the worst hit in this storm.
