EBT bucks go farther at Rochester Public Market

Rochester, NY -- The state is offering a bonus to low-income people who use their EBT cards to buy produce at the Rochester Public Market.

Margaret O'Neill -- with the Friends of the Market organization -- says shoppers can now get two dollars in state Fresh Connect Checks for every five dollars in benefits they use.

O'Neill says the program also benefits area farmers, who end up selling more produce
