Rochester, NY -- The snow has pretty much stopped, the winter storm warnings are close to expiring and many of the travel advisories are about to end. But there is a lot of digging out to do this morning.
Many areas in an around the city have had more than a foot of snow. Roads in some places are dicey. Streets on Rochester's eastside, including East Avenue, Main and Monroe have been plowed, but there is still a layer of hardpacked snow over the asphalt and that can make stopping and starting at intersections a bit tricky.
Website www.flightaware.com says more than 14-hundred flights have been canceled nationwide so far today. Hundreds more are delayed. And that list of cancelations includes 8 flights out of Rochester, 8 out of Syracuse and 17 out of Buffalo.
No word of any service alerts this morning from RTS bus service, though yesterday there were delays on some routes.
