Rochester, NY --
Paychex founder Tom Golisano says he's definitely interested in buying the Buffalo Bills -- and keeping the team in Buffalo. He says the team is a very important asset to Western New York and he will do anything he can, within reason, to see that the team stays here.
He made the comments Thursday at Bishop Kearney High School. He was there for a school-wide assembly thanking him for arranging the deal that let Kearney buy the land it stands on. But the students mostly wanted to know about the Bills.
Golisano told them he's waiting to see the team's books before making an offer, but he's definitely interested. He also told reporters there's no truth to the story that he wants to partner with would-be Medley Centre developer Scott Congel on a Bills takeover. Golisano says he knows Congel has has talked informally with him about the team, but never talked about a partnership
