Irondequoit, NY -- Officials have broken ground for the new Irondequoit Public Library. They say the project is on time, on budget and will be finished in just over a year.
Getting a state of the art library in the town has taken years of talking, planning, two referendums and a lawsuit -- but that's done. Shovels are in the ground and truckloads of steel aren't far off.
Officials, including Town Supervisor Adam Bello, say there is still a need for physical libraries in this digital world.
