Irondequoit, NY -- Irondequoit Supervisor Adam Bello has issued a statement on the flooding over the weekend at the Medley Centre.
“In light of recent events at Medley Centre, I’ve met with the Chief of Police, Fire Marshall, and Commissioner of Public Works to direct a thorough revue (sic) of the current status of the Medley Centre property, including any potentially dangerous conditions or violations of state and local building codes. It is important that if there is an emergency, our first responders are not in any danger due to deteriorating conditions, and that the public and surrounding businesses are not adversely affected by the ongoing situation.
The owner of Medley Centre is accountable for maintaining his property and for fulfilling the terms and conditions of the PILOT agreement.
If Mr. Congel is concerned that criminal activity has taken place, he should contact the police department immediately to file a report as any resident or business owner would.”
