(13WHAM) ochester, N.Y. - A new veterans' medical facility is coming to the Rochester area.
Plans for the new outpatient clinic was announced by Rep. Louise Slaughter at Potter Park in Fairport.
The clinic will be financed with $14.2 million federal grant. The plan is to open early in 2016. It will be twice the size of the current center.
The new facility will consolidate outpatient specialty medical processes and needs, including parking for 323 vehicles. It will also include an Ambulatory surgery Suite to provide outpatient procedures including surgery and therapy.
“We must ensure that when men and women leave active duty, they immediately have access to the best medical care in the world,” Slaughter said in a statement.
