Nor'Easter Storm Blasts Rochester, New York State

Pretty much every evening class or event has been canceled. Libraries closed early....numerous accidents and bumper-to-bumper traffic resulted from zero visibility and slick roads, all as mother nature unloaded a winter storm on Rochester like we haven't seen for awhile.

Governor Cuomo has declared a State of Emergency for all of New York and asked people to stay off the roads. He's ordered the closing of Interstate Highways in the Metro New York City area tonight so crews can get them plowed out by morning.

Livingston County is asking people not to drive tonight if at all possible. The snow has been coming faster than plows can clear it, so road conditions are poor and visibility has been worse this afternoon.

The National Weather Service now predicts 18 to 24 inches of snow across the Rochester area before this ends tomorrow morning.
