Public hearing set on planned animal abuser registry

Fairport, NY -- Democrats in the Monroe County Legislature will hold a public hearing Thursday evening on their proposal to create an animal abuser registry.

The idea is to keep convicted animal abusers from getting new pets. And supporters note tracking animal abusers may help protect people, too.

The hearing starts at 5:30 at the Perinton Community Center.
