Irondequoit, NY -- The Irondequoit Fire Marshal's latest report on the condition of Medley Centre Mall says work has been done to clean the Mall since a broken fire sprinkler caused water damage in January -- but the report says there are still code violations.
The report is based on Wednesday's inspection and says combustibles in the vacant part of the mall still violate the code. Those include five drums of a liquid believed to be glycol. The report also notes that fire sprinkler systems are inoperable and there is not an adequate separation between the empty mall and the Sears store.
Code violations first reported in January are scheduled to be heard in court next week.
