UPDATE: Rochester Police Officer Injured In Overnight Crash

Rochester N.Y.- A Rochester police officer ended up in the hospital overnight after his cruiser was sideswiped police say by a drunk driver.

It happened at the intersection of University Avenue and Price Streets around 2:30 a.m. Police say the driver didn't stop at a light hitting the cruiser, forcing it into a tree.

Officer Chad Halstead suffered only minor injuries but was taken to Highland Hospital to be checked out. Driver Keith Zephro, of Rochester, is being cited for a red light violation as well as DWI.
