Phelps, NY -- Police continue to search for two men involved in gunplay in the Phelps-Geneva area.
Two other men have been arraigned and are due back in court Wednesday.
The manhunt began yesterday after officers investigating a report of gunfire spotted the suspects' vehicle on Route 96. During the pursuit, four people ran from the vehicle and one pointed a gun at an officer. Police shot the man in the arm and found a second overnight. Alexander Rodriguez of Geneva and Jose Gomez-Santiago are both being held on a quarter million dollars cash bail.
Ontario County Sheriff Philip Povero says people living in the area can come and go as they please, but should remain vigilant. The search area is near the intersection of routes 96 and 14, north of Geneva.
