Slaughter condemns house majority, Collins embraces it

Congresswoman Louise Slaughter said Republicans are having a temper tantrum and holding the economy hostage because they haven't been able to block Obamacare.

Democrat Slaughter spoke on the floor of the house as the majority passed another temporary budget bill; this one containing a one year delay of the health care law and other measures favored by the GOP including approval of the Keystone Pipeline.

Slaughter said what Republicans really fear is that the Affordable Care Act will succeed and they'll "have some explaining to do."

There will be a partial government shutdown at 12:00 a.m. Tuesday if agreement can't be reached on a temporary funding bill.

Western New York Republican Chris Collins said last night that's up to the Democrats now. And Collins said his contituents have been telling him they want to end what he calls "the train wreck that is Obamacare."

Collins said he was proud to vote for the Republican version of the funding resolution to keep government funded, pay the troops and hold back the health act.
