Ten-day Fringe Festival opens in Rochester

Rochester, NY -- The Rochester Fringe Festival returns for a second year Thursday with 360 shows at 28 venues.

The festival is expanding from five days last year to ten, spanning two weekends, and some shows are free.

The highlights include the return of Bandaloop (pictured), the vertical dancers who will perform suspended from the HSBC Building downtown. There will be performances by comedian Mark Maron and humorist Dave Barry.

And new this year, a spiegeltent -- a dance hall venue at Gibbs and Main Street.
