Rochester, NY -- Get set to pay more for TV and Internet service from Time Warner Cable.
Spokeswoman Joli Plucknette-Farmen says Internet service will go up by $3, set-top box rentals will rise $1.26. And the company is adding a new $2.25 monthly fee to cover higher costs charged by local stations and networks to carry their programs.
Time Warner Cable says it is continuing to invest in its equipment and technology to deliver better service and more choices to customers.
Customers currently getting promotional rates won't see the increases until their deals expire.
The increase amounts to 6.4 percent for average customers not currently in a promotional package.
