(13WHAM) Henrietta N.- The State Comptroller’s Office says town of Henrietta hasn't been budgeting correctly.
As a result, the Town has a multi-million dollar surplus.
The state looked at the town's finances from January 2011 through December 2013 and found that officials adopted unrealistic budgets which led to them to spend less and bring in more money than they needed.
TheThe general fund totals $12-million dollars.
New town supervisor Jack Moore is already making changes.He has hired a finance director who starts on February 3rd; it’s the first financial director the town has had in four years.
