Two Men Charged In Perinton Home Invasion

(13WHAM) Perinton, N.Y. – The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office announced Friday the arrest of two men suspected of being involved in a home invasion in Perinton Thursday night.

Michael Corvelli and Roy Calentinez, both of Rochester, were arrested on charges of Burglary in the First Degree, Robbery in the First Degree, Criminal Use of a Firearm in the First Degree and Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree.

The Sheriff’s Office says Corvelli, Calentinez, and one other suspect, still at large, entered a unit at the Highview Apartments in Perinton and assaulted the homeowner with a weapon, and then proceeded to tie him up.

Investigators said that the suspects ransacked the apartment, and stole two rifles, among other pieces of property.

Corvelli was stopped in his vehicle and then taken to the Monroe County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 secured bond.

Calentinez was arrested a short time later on Lakeview Drive in Rochester after a brief standoff with deputies and RPD officers. Calentinez was taken to the hospital, and has yet to be arraigned.

The investigation is ongoing, as one suspect remains outstanding and the weapons have not been found. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
