Rochester, NY -- Wegmans and Teamsters Local 118 say they have reached a tentative agreement on a new contract that will be submitted to the union rank-and-file for a ratification vote.
The announcement comes after months of negotiating that included meetings Friday and Saturday -- more than a week after the union rejected what the company had called its last offer. The two sides returned to the bargaining table after Lt. Governor Bob Duffy urged them to do so.
The agreement would cover 900 warehouse workers, drivers and skilled tradesmen at the company’s headquarters in Rochester.
