Canandaigua, NY -- An autopsy is being done Monday on the body of Kevin Ward Jr., the young sprint car driver killed when he was struck by NASCAR driver Tony Stewart Saturday night in Canandaigua.
The autopsy is being handled by the Monroe County Medical Examiner.
And Ontario County Sheriff Phil Povero tells NewsRadio WHAM 1180 his accident reconstruction team collected data at the track Saturday night and is compiling its report. He says the investigation is ongoing and in its early stages.
He adds at least one other home video has emerged, aside from one that was widely circulated on YouTube. He says, however, Stewart evidently did not have a dashboard camera.
